Shanese – Expanded Duties Dental Assistant
Shanese has been a dental assistant for 7 years and graduated on the Dean’s List from Fortis College. She has worked with Dr. Mikell since 2016 and strives to give patients the highest quality of care. Shanese also enjoys her job because there is always something new to learn, and the patient satisfaction is a great reward.
Outside of work, Shanese enjoys cooking and trying out new recipes. Shanese and her family also love taking spur of the moment trips to “Nowhere”, just to see where the road leads them.
Chasity – Registered Dental Hygienist
Chasity has been a dental hygienist for 13 years and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Health Sciences in Dental Hygiene from York Technical College. Her main goal is to develop a relationship with each patient so that she can educate and motivate them to achieve optimal oral health.
In her spare time, Chasity enjoys spending time with her fun-loving husband, family, and friends. She loves dancing and music. When she needs quiet time, she likes crafting and reading a good book.
Tracy – Registered Dental Hygienist
Tracy has been in the dentistry profession for nearly 25 years. She considers this her true passion because she has the opportunity to make a difference in patients’ lives every day. Her philosophy is based on educating patients on their individual needs and making people feel comfortable while building confidence, trust, and friendships.
In her free time, Tracy enjoys being a busy parent to her two children. Tracy and her husband are often seen attending their children’s sporting events. On Sunday, Tracy teaches Sunday School. She also enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers.
Kelly is new to the dental world but is eager to learn. She earned a BFA from the University of South Carolina and a master’s degree from Winthrop University, both in Art Education. She taught art for 13 years at local Columbia elementary schools and recently earned a certification in deaf and hard of hearing. In addition to administrative work, Kelly also teaches self-advocacy skills to 8th graders with disabilities who are transitioning into high school.
In her free time, she enjoys teaching fitness classes at Barre3 Columbia and spending time with her family and friends. She loves the water, the mountains, football, and food!
Stacey joined our team in October of 2019 and brings a lot of knowledge with her. She has been in the dental field since she graduated top of her class from The SC School of Dental Assisting in 2011. She enjoys helping our patients and is familiar with all aspects of dentistry- from the clinical side to insurance.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her son, Tanner. She also enjoys cooking, boating at the lake, the beach, Gamecock football, and vacations with family and friends.
